1997 Dodge Caravan top-level LE model: complete power operated IMS/Braun mobility conversion MILES 65,000 (total, actual miles) Price: $13,900 General Description This white van with grey lower-body trip and grey interior, began as a top trim level Grand Caravan, with 3.3 liter 6 cylinder motor and automatic with overdrive. This one is an LE (luxury edition) which very few wheelchair-access Caravans are. It was the top trim level at the time, which in addition to popular power and convenience features such as power windows, locks, mirrors, tilt, cruise, power rear vents and more...this one also has extra features such as: upgraded interior materials and exterior trim; body-colored bumpers; special LE striping; tinted glass; Sliding door on drivers side; power drivers seat; dual heat and A/C; high-power infinity sound system with CD, cassette and equalizer; forward overhead console with direction, MPG, temperature, etc; leather front seats; rare and desirable anti-lock brakes (ABS); factory 16 inch alloy wheels...and more. This van is about as fancy and well equipped as a minivan at the time could be. Mobility and Adaptive Features This van was built by one of the two most significant companies at the time, which bought brand new vans and then converted them. This one was made by one of the pioneers of the lowered floor minivan industry, IMS, which is now a division of the industry leader, Braun. Here is the long list of its mobility features: * Deeply lowered floor (11 inches) which is level all the way to the dash * Power ramp, which can be operated with wireless remote, or switches in multiple locations * Power sliding door on ramp side * Removable front seats, in case you want to park a wheelchair in either front location (drivers seat would take apx. 30 minutes to remove, passenger seat, only a couple of minutes. * Many locations to insert anchor straps in front, middle and rear of floor area * I am adding BRAND NEW commercial-grade flooring material. This is a rubberized vinyl flooring which is now being installed in many new wheelchair vans. It is extremely durable and very easy for a wheelchair to turn and maneuver on. * This has “kneeling” suspension, which allows the van to drop several inches toward the ground in order to make the ramp angle extra-easy. This feature can be turned off or on with a toggle switch, it's your choice. * Power operated drivers-side turning seat, allows extreme range of travel fore/aft and up/down as well as turning, in order to greatly assist some folks who want or need to transfer in and out of their wheelchair in order to drive. * Includes 4 wheelchair anchor straps
Very nice low miles, will be in our usual immaculate condition inside and out, has nearly every feature available on a wheelchair minivan of this era...this one is an affordable gem.
