91,000 Miles, Current Price: $13,500 (Will be sold in Certified condition, with warranty of 6 month/6,000 miles)

General Description
* Has extreme clearance at the entry/exit point...desirable and hard to find

* When rejuvenation is completed; over the past 10,000 miles there will have been nearly $5,000 at wholesale cost in very significant cosmetic and functional rejuvenation processes

Options and Equipment
THE VAN: This began as a 1/2 ton (E150) with full power and convenience features, medium size 4.6 liter V8 and auto with overdrive with dual airbags. When brand new, it was created into what most professionals would refer to as a touring or cruising style van (See below) and sold as such at a Ford dealer and then later, when it was quite new, the adaptive/mobility equipment was added (see below)

Goodies
When new this went through a production-line process of being converted into a cruising/touring style van and then was sold at a Ford dealer, as new. The conversion brand and model is: Sterling, by Classic Coach. The primary features are: contoured, moderately tall roof (great for a wheelchair van); dual A/C; multi-function power drivers seat; very nice pleated fabric up/down style window shades; nice stereo with C.D.; Rear overhead storage compartment; clothes hanger behind the rear seat; sliding windows with screens; fancy upholstery throughout; rear seat which easily folds into a bed; lots of wood accents; extra lighting; fancy, very solid running boards with integrated wheel opening flares; fancy graphics and striping; extra 12 volt plugs....and I suppose I am forgetting even more details. It is very nice, fancy, beautiful, quality conversion

Mobility Features
At some point within a couple years of being new, the following mobility/adaptive features were added:

* super rare feature: nearly all (about 90%) tall roofs wheelchair vans that are in the realm of this one, with fancy interior and exterior features, have a TV/video/storage area system above the driver of front passenger areas. That creates a low ceiling in front area, which prevents a person in a wheelchair from having enough headroom, if either seat were removed, to park a wheelchair in front. This van DOES NOT has the TV and video in that overhead area. Therefore, there is much overhead clearance in front. This is a rare feature that benefits certain folks very much. (this also makes transitioning from the front of the van to the middle or rear, much easier, because there is not a low ceiling in front to have to navigate under)

* The extended-height doors and corresponding roof notch are about as tall as any personal-use wheelchair vans available. And once inside, it feels cavernous and has lots of headroom.

* Has a Crow River (now part of the industry giant, Braun) lift with a wonderful feature which is called a Tri-Fold platform (generous width and length) which is unique: when the lift is stowed there is room for people to comfortably pass in and out of the van for things such as passengers accessing the rear seat, attendant needing to access the person in the chair, etc. This is a big benefit, versus typical lifts, which entirely block the side doors once the lift is stowed.

* This van also has what is called a power transfer seat in the front passenger area. This seat allows for transfer of some folks in a wheelchair in and out of the front seat. This feature has a cost when new of nearly $5,000. This turning mechanism could be moved (at modest cost) into the driver's position if you need it there.

* Excellent system for anchoring the wheelchair, which consists of two flush-mounted strips across the entire width of the floor, with notches at approximately each inch to allow for very versatile positioning of the chair and anchor straps.

Summary
This van is virtually unbeatable when considering its overall level of desirable features and outstanding condition. The combination of tall roof and extra-tall entry doors, plus nice miles and what will be nearly $5,000 invested into rejuvenation over the past 10,000 miles, will make this a wonderful, hard to find, exceptional van in this price-range.

Cozy and simple

Notice the quite tall side doors and corresponding notch in roof. This creates SUPER entry clearance, which is hard to find in a personal use (Versus super long, super tall, pretty ugly and worn commercial/institutional vans) wheelchair van.

This platform is nicely long and wide and will accommodate nearly any size of wheelchair

Awesome feature! This one is nicely unusual, because it can turn apx 180 degrees, whereas most of such devices only turn apx 90 degrees.

Seat easily folds into a bed. Very clean, functional and simple interior.

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
