1999 Chrysler Town & Country Limited (ultra fancy) with full power lowered floor mobility conversion by Ricon
MILES 62,000 (total, actual miles)
Price: To Be Determined

General Description
This pearl grey model began as the fanciest among the cousin-vans, which are Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country. Plus, this is the top-of-the-line among the Town & Country models, which is a "limited". Due to being this "best-of-the-best" model, it has extra features, above and beyond common power and convenience items, which are not found on most minivans of the era, such as: upgraded 3.8 liter motor; ABS brakes; traction control; rear ventilation; factory fog lights; leather; power seats; super fancy "infinity" sound system; special paint on this model...pearl grey; pinstripes; overhead console with many functions such as avg MPG, distance to empty, temperature, etc; fancy, larger, fancy wheels; and much more.

Mobility Features
When new, this was converted by VMI/Ricon, which is one of the two industry giants, who take new vans by the thousands and convert them for wheelchair use. These large companies invest much into the design, engineering and execution of the conversion, which results in a van that looks great, feels great, is reliable, and functions smoothly and easily. Here is a list of the primary conversion features:

* Power ramp out the passenger side slider door.

* Power sliding side door. Door and ramp are operated with your choice of either: switches in multiple locations; wireless remote control

* "Kneeling" suspension causes the van to drop several inches lower in the rear, which creates a gentler ramp angle, which makes loading and unloading easier for everyone.

* Deeply lowered floor (apx 12 inches) begins in front of original rear seat, and extends all the way to below the dash. This is smooth, level and firm, which is ideal for wheelchair maneuverability.

* Very rare option: this has quick/release bucket seats in the MIDDLE of the van. These can be used when wanting to carry extra folks who are not in a wheelchair, or remove one to carry a wheelchair and leave one for an extra passenger to use. Or remove both to create a super space in the middle of the van for a very large wheelchair.

* Both front seat assemblies are easily removable in a couple of minutes, if you want or need to park a wheelchair in either front location.

* Slots to insert anchor straps in the floor in many locations, in order to secure a wheelchair.

Mid Teens

This one provides an opportunity to own an extremely fancy and sharp wheelchair wheel with a mobility conversion from my favorite side entry convertor (Ricon) and with very low miles. All of this, at a nice price.

Preliminary Photos

Please consider these are "preliminary" photos and as such, they typically show the van in early stages of our transformation process. As a result you may see various flaws, which will be remedied prior to sale.

Leather seats, with suede trim (nifty). Below rear seat you see footrests that can be folded up as they are here or down and out of the way in seconds.

Solid, sturdy running boards below front doors are nice for helping get in and out

Both front seats have leather and power, with heat!

In these photos the van is in the “kneeling” position, which lowers the rear of the van, which makes the ramp angle very easy, gentle

This ramp is wide enough to accommodate even large wheelchairs

This is the remote that operates the power slider door and power ramp and kneeling suspension

These are two leather seats that were a very expensive and rare option ($2,500, in less than 10% of all similar vans) They attach in seconds into small slots in the floor in middle of the van. They can be used one or both at a time…or leave them out for maximum floor area

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
