Amazing History
In my years of buying, rejuvenating and then offering used wheelchair vans for sale, there have been several hundred sold here. This is the absolute number one best example of a highly maintained and cared-for wheelchair van I have ever experienced. A surgical nurse and retired professor owned this since the time it had 25,000 miles. They were committed to doing everything possible to avoid any operational problems. Due to his rare condition, if it were not for her high level of skill, he would have had to be in a nursing home. She was able to take care of him at home, however, certain conditions such as overheating his body or having to be in his wheelchair too long, could have killed him. Therefore, these people had possibly more motivation than any person I have ever encountered, to ensure the van would never break down or leave them stranded. I can personally testify, after driving this 1200 miles in greatly varied conditions, this van is a special gem. It drove, handled, felt and performed as a van half its age with possibly a quarter of its actual miles. Its amazing how well cared for this van has been!

Their investment of approximately $14,000 into fastidious care (in only 60,000 miles) should pay off very big for the new owner!

General Discription
This is a well-equipped SE model, with 3.3 liter 6 cylinder and overdrive automatic. In addition to the common power and convenience features of power windows, locks, mirrors, tilt wheel and cruise control, it also has such features as: rear ventilation; upgraded interior and exterior trim; and more

Special non-mobility features (mobility features listed below):
THas the premium brand of power sunroof that slides back or tilts up and has a retractable sunshade; will have brand new CD stereo with accessory port; will have custom striping/graphics

Mobility and Adaptive Features
When new industry giant, Braun, converted this. It has a complete lowered floor conversion that includes these primary features

* Power ramp out the passenger side slider door. This ramp stows vertically in the doorway area and is called a bi-fold ramp

* Power sliding side door. Door and ramp are operated with your choice of either: switches in multiple locations; wireless remote control

* "Kneeling: suspension causes the van to drop several inches lower in the rear, which creates a gentler ramp angle, which makes loading and unloading easier for everyone.

* Deeply lowered floor begins in front of original rear seat, and extends all the way to below the dash. This is smooth, level and firm, which is ideal for wheelchair maneuverability.

* Both front seat assemblies are easily removable in a couple of minutes, if you want or need to park a wheelchair in either front location.

* Very cool and helpful feature for some folks, which is a manual turning mechanism under the front passenger seat. A major mobility-products company named Bruno built this. There is an easy to use lever that causes this mechanism to simultaneously do several actions, allowing the seat to smoothly turn and move into the position you see in the photo. When not needed or desired, seat operates as a normal, factory seat.

* Slots to insert anchor straps in the floor in many locations, in order to secure a wheelchair

* Includes 4 manual wheelchair anchor straps

* Wireless remote control for operating the power slider, power ramp and “kneeling” suspension

Status

Considering this price range, highly rejuvenated condition, fastidious previous owner, warranty included, etc….this van is at the peak of the value curve. Lots of “bang for the buck”. This body style began in 2001 and went through the year 2007. This is greatly in the sweet-spot for being a very nice wheelchair van in this price range. A few thousand dollars less obtains a lot less van and a few thousand dollars more gets you only a very minimally better van. Therefore, this one is a super overall value.

Status

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.

Please visit this page periodically.

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
