General Description
Began as a highly equipped and unusual model, which very few wheelchair vans are, which is the "Touring" model. This package brings to this awesome van a long list of desirable features: optional, desirable 3.8 liter 6 cylinder with auto and overdrive; ABS brakes; Traction control; Side airbags; power windows, mirrors and locks; tuned suspension; cruise control and tilt wheel; digital tri-zone heat and A/C; upgraded and sound system with CD, cassette and equalizer; leather-wrapped steering wheel; factory fog lights; overhead console with multi-function computer; adjustable roof rack; dual adjustable lighted visor lights; dark tinted windows; power hatch and both sliders are power too; leatherette seating surfaces is attractive, durable and easy to clean

Mobility and Adaptive Features
Wow, this is my favorite brand of wheelchair conversion, which is VMI, made by industry giant Ricon. Why is it my favorite, you may ask? Because, although the Ricon and Braun brands (two giants which combined have about 70-80% of the lowered floor mobility minivan market) have similar features overall, the Ricon vans looks a bit nicer and are in my opinion engineered and styled/designed a bit nicer overall. As for the individual features which comprise the conversion that was done on this van when it was brand new

* Deeply lowered floor all the way to the dash, with a wider range and large number of floor anchor points to anchor your wheelchair

* Power sliding side door for ramp access

* TURNING SEAT: this is a critically valuable feature for some folks who want or need to transfer in and out of their wheelchair in order to drive from the original seat. This allow the seat to turn apx 100 degrees, plus it has an extreme range of fore/aft travel, which aids when transferring. Such a seat system has a new, installed price of apx $5,000!

* Has a power ramp of the most desirable style, which is called an "in-floor" ramp. This disappears under the main floor when stowed, thus creating no blockage of view. Nor is it in the way if a person who is not in a wheelchair wants to go in or out when the ramp is stowed.

* Kneeling suspension lowers the passenger side area several inches, which makes the ramp angle extra-gentle for loading/unloading.

* One-touch remote...just push the button once and let it go, causing a sequence of the door opening, ramp going out and kneeling taking place. This 3-step process takes only about 30 seconds. Now you are ready to exit the van.  And push the button again and it reverses the steps to close the van.

* In addition to the wireless remote there are multiple locations to control the ramp and door

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
