Note: this "Freestar" model replaced the "Windstar", which had been a popular minivan for many years. However, the Freestar is a greatly improved and modernized, better van, as compared to the Windstar.

General Description
This began as a well-equipped SE model that has a 3.9 liter 6 cylinder and overdrive transmission and comes with added factory options. Features include: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel; cruise control; tinted windows; front bucket seats with armrests

Mobility and Adaptive Features
When new, this was converted by an industry leader "VMI" (Vantage Mobility Industries). It now has the following power operated and other mobility features:

* Deeply lowered floor creates wonderful entry clearance and interior headroom. Also, the deeply lowered floor creates a ramp angle that is suitable for most users.

* Both front seat assemblies have quick-release mechanisms, which allow removal or installation in a couple of minutes with little effort, strength or skill. This feature allows for parking a wheelchair in either front location, if desired.

* Has power sliding door and power operated "in-floor" ramp, which is most desirable, as it creates no blockage of the doorway or visual distraction, when not in use

* "Kneeling" suspension, which lowers the rear of the van a few inches, which is another feature that reduces the ramp angle, making it easier to move in and out in the wheelchair

* Many anchor point locations throughout the van for using straps to anchor a wheelchair to the floor

* 4 anchor straps for securing wheelchair in location of your choice

* Wireless remote control for operation of slider, ramp and kneeling suspension

Summary
This one is in a sweet-spot for features, price, miles...and it's a really sharp color. Of course, as with each van we offer, it will be sold in "Certified" condition, having been highly rejuvenated cosmetically and functionally.

Status

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists.
