Options and Equipment THE VAN: Began as a Dodge Caravan SE with 3.3 (optional motor) 6 cylinder and auto with overdrive (option). Has power windows, locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, A/C, airbag, etc GOODIES: Custom stripes, recent dark window tint with UV and glare blocker, rear seat folds into a flat shelf. VERY SPECIAL NOTE: This has a new, high-quality audio/video system in the dash, which includes a high-resolution night-vision backup camera and large viewing screen. Please see the photos and video about this new system, which had a new cost of more than $1,000. MOBILITY: When brand new, this van was converted by the IMS/Braun company, which is the leading mobility equipment company in the world. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly. Very Unique History of Ownership: Was purchased when brand new in the Seattle area and had been there its entire life (primarily used by a health-services agency) until I acquired it several years ago. Since that time I have sold it and re-acquired it two different times, due to various circumstances of the owners lives changing. Therefore, in the span of less than 20,000 miles it has now undergone 3 complete processes of rejuvenation, while in my care, in order to reach 'Certified' condition each time. Please see below for the very extensive care it has had during this span of time and miles. Certified This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory. Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS". Here are the new and recent items: New: Repair and service power ramp and door; exhaust repair; lube service; rear air bags; and more Recent: Front brakes; water pump; serpentine belts; battery; front tires; power window motor; rear wiper motor; drive belts; power steering rack; rear wheel bearings; major transmission service and gaskets; sway bar bushings; alignment Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $3,000 (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $3,000) Carfax Report Summary (Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.) Nothing notably negative or unusual: no frame damage...no airbags deployed...no structural damage...no "red marks"...no major accident. You Might Like To Know... * Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars. * Caravan, Voyager and Town & Country all all brands that are cousins to each other. They are virtually the same vans, with only misc differences between them.
True, this is not a modern-era van, however, given its super low miles and very thorough rejuvenation (three times in apx twenty thousand miles) it is an absolutely excellent, highly-featured van. If you need a very capable van, especially if you need exceptional entry clearance and headroom (several inches more than nearly all other minivan wheelchair minivans) this could be a great van to suit your needs. |
