Highlights of This Van: *apx. $5000 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $5000) * WOW! Scarcely few mobility vans have this level of luxury, comfort and convenience. * Very rare feature: has an extra, single-person seat in the middle of the van. This can be positioned on either side, or easily removed entirely if not desired. |

Options and Equipment THE VAN: This one is the super fancy SEL model (on par with 'Limited' which was the fanciest model available at the time, of the several trim levels possible. Comes with the sweet 3.8 liter motor and auto with overdrive. Has common power and convenience features such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; power rear side vents; tilt wheel and cruise control. Plus, because this is the super fancy model, it also has many extra features and options, such as: darker tinted glass; two-tone blue and grey paint and body cladding; 16 inch alloys; leather seats with power adjust; power side slider doors; upgraded interior and exterior trim; rear ventilation; fancy CD and cassette stereo with extra speakers; rear audio controls; plus much more. This is a gorgeous van that has a level of comfort and convenience that is surprising for its era. MOBILITY: This was converted by industry giant VMI (Vantage Mobility) when it was brand new. VMI is also known as Ricon. They invest greatly into engineering and designing mobility vans that work very well, have maximum possible dimensions, and are safe and reliable. I personally prefer the conversions from VMI/Ricon to the ones from Braun and their various divisions. This one has the following features included among its mobility-access details: * Deeply lowered floor with quick release removable front seats, enables parking a wheelchair in either front location, if so desired * Power ramp and side slider door for easy in and out with only the push or click of a switch or button * Kneeling suspension allows the van body to lower a few inches, creating a more gentle ramp angle * Various anchor point location choices throughout the van for securing one or more wheelchairs * Super rare and flexibility-creating feature: this has a rare option, which is a captains chair/seat that matches the front pair, which is designed to be in the middle portion of the van, with a choice of it going on either the right or left side. This allows for a total of 6 occupants with seat belts, plus a person in a wheelchair. This feature is available by special order only and is on less than 5% of all lowered floor minivans. Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly. History of Ownership: With the exception of apx the past 2 years since it was new, one owner owned this. All owners have resided in Texas. Certified This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory. For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here. Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS". Here are the new and recent items: New: rebuilt transmission; multiple door lock actuators; A/C system service; power window repair; parking brake repair; coolant flush; sway bar link; alignment; wipers; major electrical system repairs and redesign; mobility systems service Recent: front brakes Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $5000 (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $5000) Carfax Report Summary (Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.) Nothing notably negative or unusual: no frame damage...no airbags deployed...no structural damage...no "red marks"...no major accident. You Might Like To Know... * Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars. * Ford Windstar name was replaced by Ford Freestar a couple of years after this van was produced.
