Options and Equipment

THE VAN: This is a modern van and began as a 1/2 ton (1500 series) with 5.9 motor, overdrive transmission, dual airbags, ABS brakes, posi-traction (rare, great to have on a rear-drive van) full power and convenience features, dual A/C and more. The final year of this style van was 2003, therefore this is nearly the most modern, traditional style Dodge van a person can buy. ((2004 was the beginning of the narrow, tall, ugly, expensive diesel models)) This van is the medium length wheelbase, which is not what would be called a shorty, nor a long van.  This length is well-suited as a wheelchair van because the moderate length allows for seating for 5 but has enough interior length to result in a generous area for even the largest chair or scooter.

THE GOODIES: Was customized & converted when new by a company called Elkhorn automotive.  This is an extensive example of what most folks would call a touring or cruising conversion.  The roof is plenty tall, but is a streamlined and attractive design. Has large, dark windows with screens and vents, fancy outside graphics, attractive running boards with assist steps, chrome wheels, stereo/VCR/TV, rear step bumper, custom upholstery, interior upgrades, fancy lighting, rear bench that folds into a bed and more.

MOBILITY:  This is what I call a level 4, which is my highest designation on a 1-4 scale for features and function.  It has a tall roof with tall doors and corresponding roof notch for desirable entry/exit clearance, power opening side doors and special power-base drivers transfer seat. It has controls for the doors and lift on the dash and outside on the body.

Note: The first owner of this van had hand-controls in this.  The second owner removed them, but I do have what I believe to be all of the pieces, which I believe a professional could re-install without notable cost incurred.

Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

History of Ownership

Has had only two owners who were friends of each other, who both lived in rural North Dakota.  Having spent its entire life in a very rural town and state, most of these miles have been accumulated as it was driving on the highway getting to and from the nearest towns which were 20-30 miles from where the owners lived.  Of course, highway miles are the easiest which cause the least wear....much better than the extra wear of stop and go city-driven miles.

History of Care

In addition to having been well cared for during its life, as part of my Rick's Rejuvenated process I have invested nearly $1,000 at my wholesale cost in caring for the mechanical aspects and making sure it is in top condition. It runs, drives and performs as nice as it looks!

As part of my 'Rick's rejuvenated'' process, each mobility/adaptive component is inspected, serviced, adjusted and repaired (if needed) by the premium company in this area which exclusively cares for wheelchair vans.

Nothing negative or derogatory on the report

You Might Like To Know...

* These have been the easiest of miles, which are driving moderate speeds on rural highways.

* This van represents the overall package which I get the most calls for, which is a van with plenty of seating, space for a large person and/or chair, tall roof, tall doors and a nice balance of price, age and miles.  And of course, every van I sell is in absolutely remarkable overall condition.

* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.

Summary of this Gem

This van represents a great overall 'value' when considering the extensive mobility features, age, miles, overall condition and price.  This one is beautiful, highly useful and it runs, drives and performs as nice as it looks.
