Options and Equipment

THE VAN:

This began as a "Grand" (longer body, as all wheelchair conversion vans are) Caravan with "SE" features, which is a middle trim level. Has the smaller of the V6 motors available, which is the 3.3 liter. This has a nice level of features including desirable power and convenience items such as power windows, locks, mirrors, tilt wheel and cruise control. Also includes upgraded, optional features such as: rear ventilation; CD stereo; power drivers seat; and more

GOODIES

Has new custom graphics/stripes

MOBILITY

When new, the worldwide industry leader, Braun, converted this van. The name of the lowered floor conversion package is called an "Entervan". The wonderful, extensive, helpful package of features includes these items:

* Power ramp out the passenger side door. This ramp is long and wide, allowing for nearly any wheelchair and person to go in and out.

* Power sliding passenger side door. This operates in conjunction with the ramp and the "kneeling " suspension.

* "Kneeling" suspension. This sweet feature causes the van to lower several inches in the rear, which notably reduces the ramp angle, and makes going in and out smoother, easier, safer. Note: a switch allows for turning this feature off, if you don't want to use it, such as for loading directly on and off of a curb or sidewalk.

* Easily removable front seats. In a matter of seconds, you can flip a lever and remove or install either of the front seats.

* Many various locations for inserting anchor straps in the floor, for securing a wheelchair.

* Mobility conversion functions can be operated either with wireless remote, or via switches in various locations.

* This extensive conversion package includes wireless remote control, for operation of the ramp, door and suspension.

Certified

This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.
For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".

Here are the new and recent items:

New:
lube/oil/service; all wipers; key service; repair exhaust; major mobility systems service

Recent: Front Brakes

$1,800 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $1,800)

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)
Nothing notably negative or unusual: no frame damage...no airbags deployed...no structural damage...no "red marks"...no major accident.

You Might Like To Know...

* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.

* Caravan, Voyager and Town & Country all all brands that are cousins to each other. They are virtually the same vans, with only misc differences between them.

* this body style began in 2001 and went through 2007. This era is a Noticeable improvement from the previous era (1996-2000) in that it has a more refined and modern appearance inside and out. Plus, this era is a bit smoother to drive and operate and is quieter inside as well.

Summary of this Gem

I often hear from folks who want a fairly modern lowered floor minivan that is Certified with nice miles and a warranty, in this price range. It's a tough combination to find. Here you found one. However nice you think it appears in the photos, it is even nicer than that in-person. Plus, it runs, drives and performs fantastic as well.

Comfortable, spacious and seat height is same as a van with no lowered floor, due to the pedestal under the seat
Deeply lowered floor creates generous headroom and entry clearance
super miles, approximately 1/3 of national average
simple easy controls. Has CD stereo and rear ventilation
both front seats are easily removable in only a couple of minutes, allowing parking a wheelchair in either location
Rear ventilation controls in ceiling in middle of van allow easy temp and fan speed control from the rear
Rear Ducts
custom graphics/stripes look sharp and add uniqueness
Vans such as these are a bit high in the rear due to their altered Geometry due to lowered floor

I prefer tan interiors and they are pretty uncommon

solid aluminum ramp is tough and smooth
gentle ramp angle makes in and out easy, stable, smooth
notice the black strip along the floor in front of seat...that is for inserting wheelchair anchor straps into locations of your choice
more choices for anchor point locations behind front seats (black strips) and they also exist in front of the front seats, for securing wheelchair in either front location

* I apologize for any unclear photos. At times, the conditions make a clear photo impossible.
