Options and Equipment

THE VAN:

Began as a three-quarter ton with 5.4 liter motor and auto with overdrive. Before conversion, had common power and convenience features, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt and cruise; XLT level of interior and exterior features, such as chrome bumpers, moderate level of interior and exterior trim features; etc. Then, when brand new, it was converted by a national conversion company named, Eclipse.

Fancy conversion: very long list of features, summarized here:

Fancy exterior consisting of: nicely contoured and quite tall roof; two-tone dark blue and silver paint; custom graphics/striping; heavy duty chrome bumpers; towing package and wiring; stylish, functional running boards with steps; alloy wheels; fancy tinted windows with vents; and more

Fancy interior consisting of: deluxe front and rear seats; rear seat folds to a bed and has custom extension, making it into apx a full size bed; all seats have armrests; drivers seat has multiple power adjustments; ceiling storage bins; window coverings/shades; real wood trim; fancy carpets, fabrics and trim; DVD/ audio system with flat screen TV; and more

Very premium Mobility and Adaptive Features:

* Rare & valuable combination of tall doors PLUS lowered floor creates an amazing minimum entry clearance of 62 inches! This amount ties the most of any van I have ever offered. Scarcely few vans have more than 55 inches. The interior headroom is similarly rare and amazing at 67 inches!

* Power operated side doors

* Has the most awesome lift ever created, which is my personal favorite mobility device: Braun UVL (under vehicle lift). This has a whopping capacity of 800 pounds and a wide, long platform, which will accommodate even very large wheelchairs and their occupants. When stowed, this lift creates zero blockage or impedance of the van whatsoever.

* Floor is lowered from the rear seat, all the way to the dash, for both front passengers. Either seat can be quickly removed, for parking a wheelchair in either front location.

* Various anchor point locations in floor, for securing wheelchair with straps.

* Wireless remote operation of side doors and lift. This is the key feature that is needed for wheelchair-bound folks who want to load, drive and unload himself or herself, with no assistance from anyone.

* Several locations of manual switches

Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

History of Ownership:

With the exception of the past 5,000 miles, this has had only one owner. That family (from here in my local area) needed a wheelchair van due to an accident that resulted in the man being paralyzed. They received a very large settlement and with it, among donating to various charities, they had a very large, custom home and other facilities built, so that the man could have as normal of a life as possible. They also custom ordered (at great cost) this van. He passed away from medical complications a few years ago. His family then sold it to a family that was friends of theirs. I acquired it when the man it was used for passed away recently

Certified

This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.

For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here. Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".

You Might Like To Know...
* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.
* Ford vans have the same general body style through the year 2007, and so this appears and functions like a much newer van

Summary of this Gem
As you have read above, this is truly a very special van. No matter if you have the special need for super dimensions, versatility and capabilities at this very rare level, or you very much want an extremely nice wheelchair van, this one is gorgeous and oh-so-special.

Functional running boards help with getting in and out
Rear spare creates extra room behind seat
Plenty of space behind rear seat for some cargo. Notice the various wheelchair anchor straps
Notice the black floorboard attached to the seat. That puts an able-bodied person feet at same height as before floor was lowered. When seat is removed, then the light grey-carpeted area is where the wheelchair parks, which is lowered, in order for a person in power wheelchair to be able to fit under the steering wheel.
Clean and simple controls and 6-disc CD player and rear ventilation controls
Both front seats are removable in less than a minute
Nifty, easy to use TV and DVD system
DVD and other accessories (including 12 volt receptacle)

Notice the nicely tall roof and tall doors. This, combined with the low floor, creates a virtually unheard of entry clearance of 62 inches! This is so nice for people in tall wheelchairs, as well as for family and friends to very easily get in and out. Has awesome headroom when inside!

Notice the black footrest area, which is attached to the seat and creates a footrest area that is same height as if the floor had not been lowered. These footrest areas roll away with the seats if seats are moved
Under floor lift (most awesome lift ever created) does not block the door in any way, except when being used to raise and lower a wheelchair-bound person.
When seat is removed (requires only seconds to do) there is a flat, solid, level area to park a wheelchair. Notice the forward locations for attaching anchor straps to
Platform carries whopping 800 pounds and is long and wide
At floor level, nice and level with the floor, for easy maneuvering.
This photo makes very obvious the depth of the lowered floor, which is apx 6 inches. This, combined with the tall roof, creates amazing interior headroom and virtually unheard of entry clearance.

Comfortable, fancy, simple
Sweet interior with lots of wood and storage and extra lighting and ventilation and more
Those black units are some of the rear ventilation guides
Notice: shades on windows; black knob controls ventilation by person in wheelchair if desired; square grey door accesses fuse block; other black pieces on wall are A/V items
When folded flat, this bed is nearly sale size as a double bed
Wireless remote for side doors and lift
There are two of these corded-remotes: on is attached to the lift and the other is accessed in the front passenger area
Clean, clean, clean
