Highlights of This Van:

* WOW!  apx. $3,000 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $3,000)

* Please read below for details regarding the very exceptional and fantastic life this van has had

* "Sport" model with these options is a very sweet van

* Many rear entry vans either have no mid/rear seating, or they have a fumky 2-person bench that is a pain to deal with. This seating configuration is my favorite of all rear entry vans.  Seating for 4, plus super space for wheelchair (or scooter)

Options and Equipment

THE VAN:

This began with a level of features nicely beyond the norm. This desirable and highly equipped "sport" model has the optional and fantastic 3.8 liter 6 cylinder and automatic with overdrive. First, this includes common power and convenience features such as: power windows, locks, and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; tinted windows; etc. Then, in addition to those common features, it has options such as: upgraded interior and exterior trim; upgraded motor; 8 way power drivers seat; overhead console with temp, MPG, direction, etc; alloy wheels; rear ventilation; power right side slider door; upgraded stereo with CD and cassette; adjustable roof rack; 4 wheel disc brakes;  etc.

GOODIES:

MOBILITY:

When new, this received a super mobility conversion by the national convertor which in this era created most vans of this rear entry style , which consists of the following features:

*Deeply channeled middle and rear portion of the van. See photos and captions

* Power rear gate/hatch is fast and nicely solid

* "kneeling suspension" lowers the van for load/unload process which makes the ramp angle very gentle

* Power rear ramp has gentle angle for comfortable, secure process of easy going in and out

* Smartly positioned single person jump seats in middle of van on left and right side. Therefore, this van carries driver plus 3 passengers in comfort, plus a nice area for person in wheelchair (or 3 or 4 wheel scooter)

* Wireless remote control to operate power rear hatch, ramp and "kneeling" suspension (there are also manual switches in dash area)

* many locations in mid and rear floor area for anchoring wheelchair

History of Ownership

This van is so positively exceptional regarding its ownership history. I personally acquired it from the multi-million dollar home location where it had been since new. This was in Manhattan Beach California, which is one of the most plush and upscale neighborhoods in America...sometimes referred to as the modern day Beverly Hills. The owners both are teachers at a prestigious private school in that area. They have an adult son who the van was used for. He now lives in a full care facility that has their own vans, which is why they sold this to me. As a result of having funds available to afford the highest level of care for the van, this one has been taken impeccable care of, wow!

Certified

This vehicle meets our very high standard. There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Rejuvenation process. A foundational step of the process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent, third- party service and repair facility. Various professional specialists then perform suggested service, repairs and improvements. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets (and very often exceeds) our promised condition level of good, or satisfactory.

Each van does of course have various elements that exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. Others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list below those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS". As for this vehicle:

Here are the new and recent items:

New: battery; very major front brakes; wipers; lube/filter/service; major transmission flush/service; cooling system flush; thermostat; major mobility systems (gate/ramp/suspension) service/adjust/align/tune; pair of tires

Recent: pair of tires; water pump; serpentine belt; serpentine idler pulley; radiator cap; belt tensioner pulley

Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $3,000

(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $3,000)

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)

WOW: This is what is called a "Carfax guaranteed 1 owner". They certify it has had same owner since new.

Nothing notably negative or unusual: no frame damage...no airbags deployed...no structural damage...no "red marks"...no major accident. No accidents, ever.

You Might Like To Know...

* The first year of this generation was 2001. This generation is smoother, nicer, quieter, superior in many ways than the generation of 1996-2000. This generation continues through 2007 with nearly no change.

* Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country are nearly the same vans, made by same parent company, in same facility

Summary of this Gem

Rear entry vans are not for everyone, as some folks want side entry....but if you want rear entry, they are VERY hard to find in this price range, miles, features and overall fantastic condition. This particular one has nearly every possible positive going for it: nice miles; super owner history; great options; most desirable seating configuration of all rear entry. If you pick this one, you will be glad you did.
