Highlights of This Van:

Ø  apx. $2,500 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $2,500)

Ø The nature of its history of use, combined with my extensive rejuvenation steps, has this van in absolutely phenomenal condition in every way. It could easily pass for being 1/4-1/2 of its 98k miles

Ø SUPER entry clearance AND interior headroom due to extra deep lowered floor. This has extra inches in the areas which matter most

Options and Equipment

THE VAN:  This began as a very well equipped LS model. It has a modern, strong 6 cylinder motor with 3.9 liters and auto with overdrive (nice original MPG rating of 18/25).  Has a generous list of creature comforts and options, such as: power windows, locks, mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; gauge package; CD stereo system; front and rear ventilation system; 4 wheel disc brakes; tinted side and rear glass; and more

GOODIES: freshly added ...window tint on front door windows for better light and UV control; freshly added...custom stripes and graphics; freshly added...custom cloth front seat inserts, for better wear and stain resistance; Super cool and helpful feature...commercial quality rear back-up camera with large screen

MOBILITY:  This was converted by a company that the industry leader Braun owns, named American/Eldorado. It was custom ordered with a mobility package which is designed for maximum usefulness and versatility, with virtually zero care or maintenance needed of its features. Here are its primary elements:

* wide, strong, aluminum ramp. This has a very ingenious and effective spring-assist system which combined with the light weight of the aluminum makes it incredibly easy to manually raise and lower. In fact, it literally could be operated by most young children, its that easy and light to use.

* Very deeply lowered floor, which begins below the front edge of rear seat and extends to below the dash area. This is an example of the deeper lowered floors that are found in the more modern wheelchair vans. Due to this fact, this van has at least a couple of inches (or several) more entry clearance and interior headroom than typical vans of various brands of a few years earlier.

*  quick release front passenger seat which can be removed or installed and rolled in or out in a minute or two.  (drivers seat is pretty easily removed via a few nuts/bolts which secure it to the floor)

* custom, pebbled-texture floor surface is awesome! This is a very permanent and hi-tech coating that is tough, easy to clean, and wonderful to drive a wheelchair on

* many various anchor points throughout the interior to be used for anchor straps

* This van includes 4 of the very best anchor straps, as seen in a photo on this page

History of Ownership

Was custom ordered and with the exception of a few thousand miles was utilized by a small government agency in Cottage grove, Oregon.  I purchased it from a man who was the second owner. He used it briefly to transport his wife locally in the final months of her life.

Certified

This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory

For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here.

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good, or
satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".

* Exception regarding accessory audio/video features in the rear: over the years we’ve discovered that for various reasons, accessory audio/video systems (IE: picture tube TV; VCR; cassette players; etc) in wheelchair vans of the vintage we specialize in are typically obsolete or irrelevant and are often cost-prohibitive to repair or replace, while keeping the vans at a nice price. Therefore, such items are excluded from our "Certified" program list. This includes such systems as TV’s, VCR’s, separate rear audio devices, etc. Usually, all or part of such systems is operational, but that is not promised. The wiring, speakers and connections, fixtures, etcetera are generally in good order, which is very helpful if a person were to want to update the system to modern features, such as a flat screen TV, DVD, etc. We do include in the “Certified” program the factory or aftermarket stereo systems that are in the dash area (which often includes front and rear speakers) but not added systems in the middle or rear of the van.

New: coolant flush/fill; one fog light; freshening of motor, such as some primary gaskets, tune-parts, etc; wipers;

Recent: Has excellent, valuable Michelin tires (my favorite brand) with apx 75% tread; front brakes; rear brakes

Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $2,500

(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $2,500)

You Might Like To Know...

* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.

* The original, official MPG estimate was a very respectable 18 city and 25 highway. Considering that this is a very large "minivan", these are nice numbers. And, it has excellent power and performance with the advanced 3.9 liter motor.

* In my nearly 40 years of being immersed in the automotive world, in various aspects of it, my consistent observation has been that each few years brings better automotive features, traits and elements, such as: better handling; quieter; smoother; more spacious; more attractive; more 'creature comforts'; more safety; more longevity; etc. etc. And so this is why my goal is to offer some newer vans such as this, at prices far more attractive and affordable than the 25 or 30 thousand that such a van would be worth if it had low miles. My more modern vans such as this tend to not have low miles, however, they are carefully chosen as ones that have had relatively easy miles.  And very notably, they have been extensively rejuvenated to "Certified' condition. Plus, I have enough trust, confidence and belief to include a warranty.
