Options and Equipment
THE VAN:
This began as a very well equipped LS model. It has a modern, strong 6-cylinder motor with 3.9 liter motor and auto with overdrive (nice original MPG rating of 18/25). Has a generous list of creature comforts and options, such as: power windows, locks, mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; auto-level rear suspension adjusting system; gauge package; CD stereo system; front and rear ventilation system; alloy wheels; 4 wheel disc brakes; dark tinted glass; and more.

MOBILITY
Was converted by a company that the industry leader Braun is closely associated with named American/Eldorado. It was custom ordered with a special mobility package, which is designed for maximum usefulness and versatility, with virtually zero care or maintenance of its features needed. Here are its primary elements:
* Extra wide and strong, aluminum ramp. This has an ingenious and effective assist system that combined with the lightweight of the aluminum makes it very easy to manually raise and lower. Most young children could operate it, because it’s that easy and light to use.
* Very deeply lowered floor, which begins below the front edge of rear seat and extends to below the dash area. This is an example of the deeper lowered floors that are found in relatively modern wheelchair vans such as this. Due to this fact, this van has at least a couple of inches (or several) more entry clearance and interior headroom than typical vans of various brands from a few years earlier.
* Quick release front passenger seat that can be removed or installed and rolled in or out in a minute or two. (Drivers seat is pretty easily removed via a few nuts/bolts that secure it to the floor)
* Custom, pebbled-texture floor surface is awesome! This is a permanent, hi-tech coating that is tough, easy to clean, and very nice to maneuver a wheelchair on
* Many various anchor points throughout the interior to be used for anchor straps to secure wheelchair
* Includes 4 anchor straps

Ownership
Owned since new by an agency in northern California. Was used primarily on the highway for trips to and from a small town to the big city, via interstate-5.
Certified
This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.
For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here.
Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS
Here are the new and recent items:
New: All 4 tires; refreshed engine top-end items, such as: camshaft actuator; oil seals; timing chain tensioner; gaskets; speed sleeve. More new items: wipers; oil/lube/filter; HD battery; serpentine belt; alternator belt; brake flush; major transmission service and flush; major ABS service; rear shocks; mobility system service (ramp adjust, replace chain, etc); headlights; cabin air filter; rear blower motor
Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $ 5,000!
(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $5,000)
Carfax Report Summary

Summary of this Gem
Here's an opportunity to own a nicely modern van, with the benefits that go along with that, for an affordable price. And if reliability, low maintenance and simplicity are important to you...the special-ordered mobility package on this van accomplishes your goal. Even though this one does not have low miles, it appears, functions and feels as if it were a van with far less miles, at a much higher price.

Helpful Note: this ramp has what is called a "Gate feature", which allows it to pivot outward at nearly 90 degrees, allowing easy movement of people in and out when ramp is stowed (sorry, no photo) |
Aluminum ramp with spring-assist device: lightweight and easy to open and close, even by a person with little strength or agility. |
Notice the deeply lowered floor, as indicated by the big vertical ledge in front of the rear seat. |
Either seat can be removed, for parking wheelchair |
