Options and Equipment
THE VAN:
Began as standard length (not long or short) half ton with HD (heavy duty) package. This is a very unusual half ton that began in 08 and is essentially the same as a ¾ ton, such as having 8-lug wheels and rear disc brakes. It has a smallish size V8 (4.6 liter, creates sufficient power, and gets decent MPG) and has auto with overdrive. There is a nice list of comfort and convenience features, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel, alloy wheels and tinted windows. Also has an awesome rear ventilation system with many ducts in the ceiling, for nice control of airflow. (many other wheelchair vans with rear HVAC systems have an inferior ducting and air control system). Excellent interior lighting system.
New upgrades
Useful and attractive body side moldings; custom graphics/striping; CD stereo with accessory port, USB port, etc.; solar tinted windows
MOBILITY
This was converted in southern California and meets the strictest ADA standards in the world. Among its primary features are:
* Quite tall roof is contoured, resulting in reduced wind resistance and good appearance
* Very tall rear entry doors, results in a whopping entry clearance of 60 inches! (more clearance than all but a few vans I have had in 10 years)
* Braun Millennium lift (best heavy-duty lift in the world) has long and wide platform, with 800-pound capacity.
* Custom floor is level and smooth and has a special texture with some grip to it.
* Currently configured with the two factory captains chairs (with armrests) plus two comfortable, single-person seats of decent size, along the passenger wall (additional seating could be added). The rearward single seat is able to flip up, if desiring more space for the wheelchair person to go on and off of the lift. There is sufficient open floor area in this van to haul two very large wheelchairs with very large occupants, plus their “attendants” seated approximately next to them
* Many anchor point locations in the floor for a variety of choices as to where to secure the wheelchair.
* Additional custom interior lighting throughout

Ownership
Until a few thousand miles ago this had the same owner since new.
Certified
This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.
For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here.
Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS
Here are the new and recent items:
New: oil/lube/filter; 2 tires; major tune and tune parts including plugs and some coils; o2 sensor; other details coming soon
Recent: 2 tires; other details coming soon

Carfax Report Summary
(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)
Nothing notably negative or unusual. No airbags deployed...No damage leading to such report notes as salvage, totaled, etc...no "red marks" on the report...no major accident...no lemon history…no odometer tampering…no derogatory remarks on the state-issued title.
Summary of this Gem
this is unusually capable and versatile with nice appearance, and maximum dimensions for superior capability to haul even the longest, widest, tallest wheelchairs and their occupants. This looks, feels and functions fantastic and is not dramatically different than a similar new wheelchair van costing around 65 thousand dollars. Plus, this body style has advantages compared to the new body style, which began a few years ago.
