Highlights of This Van:

$1,300 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below
(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $1,300)

* This van had a new cost of nearly $70,000!

* This is the most desirable color

Options and Equipment

THE VAN:

* This is the top trim level. The color is what Honda calls "Mocha Metallic", which I would call something like, Champagne. It has a tan leather interior. This has every option available, which is what the "Touring" model is. It has the most luxurious and capable features available such as: leather; sunroof; DVD video system; Heated seats; larger, special alloys wheels; digital climate control; navigation; special stereo; blue-tooth; power seats; both slider doors and rear hatch are powered opening; and much more.

MOBILITY:

When new, industry leader Braun, at their VMI division, converted this van. Here is a list of its primary mobility features

* Deeply lowered floor, from the rear seat to directly below the dash

* Power ramp is the favorite style (versus being stowed blocking doorway) which is hidden under the floor when not in use

* Power sliding side door

* Wireless remote for door and ramp

* "Kneeling suspension" lowers the rear of the van for the benefit of making the ramp angle less when loading/unloading

* Very many locations in the middle and forward areas of the floor for inserting wheelchair anchoring straps

* Special foot rests for rear seat passengers

* Front passenger seat has a "turning seat" unit underneath it. This enables the seat to have extreme travel up/down, fore/aft and turns apx 100 degrees. This optional device is what many people want or need in order to transfer from a wheelchair and ride in the front seat.

* Wireless remote operation of all mobility features

Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

History of Ownership:
Has had a total of 3 owners. Among them, there were many top-level service and care trips to dealership shops.

Certified
This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.

For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here. Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".

* Exception regarding accessory audio/video features in the rear: over the years we’ve discovered that for various reasons, accessory audio/video systems (IE: picture tube TV; VCR; cassette players; etc) in wheelchair vans of the vintage we specialize in are typically obsolete or irrelevant and are often cost-prohibitive to repair or replace, while keeping the vans at a nice price. Therefore, such items are excluded from our "Certified" program list. This includes such systems as TV’s, VCR’s, separate rear audio devices, etc. Usually, all or part of such systems is operational, but that is not promised. The wiring, speakers and connections, fixtures, etcetera are generally in good order, which is very helpful if a person were to want to update the system to modern features, such as a flat screen TV, DVD, etc. We do include in the "Certified" program the factory or aftermarket stereo systems that are in the dash area (which often includes front and rear speakers) but not added systems in the middle or rear of the van.

Here are the new and recent items:

New:

Due to being a super reliable Honda with nice miles, this has not have extensive needs. However, due to being sold in "Certified" condition, it has been very thoroughly checked out (please see on this website our list of what is assured) and cared for accordingly, in order to meet our high standards. As a result, these following items have been freshly cared for: lube/oil/filter/; air filter; rear shocks; service power ramp, door and kneeling suspension; air intake hose; both rear wheel hubs

Recent:
Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items:$1,300
(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $1,300)

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)

Nothing notably negative or unusual: No airbags deployed...No damage leading to such report notes as salvage, totaled, etc...no "red marks" on the report...no major accident...no lemon history, no odometer tampering, no derogatory remarks on the state-issued title

You Might Like To Know...
* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.
* Honda wheelchair vans are SUPER rare. By far the most rare brand, even more rare than Toyotas

Summary of this Gem
In 9 years of buying, rejuvenating and selling used wheelchair vans, this is the first Honda Odyssey I have ever had the pleasure of offering. They are very uncommon on the used market; because usually when someone has a good one that they want to sell, there are several people they know who want to buy it from them. Therefore, they don’t make it onto the open market very often. Furthermore, very few Odyssey wheelchair vans are created from this absolutely top-level “Touring” model. This was the most costly wheelchair minivan available when it was new. You will absolutely love this gorgeous, highly capable van.
