Mobility
When new this was mobility converted by industry giant, Braun. This model is called a "Braun Entervan power XT". A van currently built with all of the features this one has, which includes the following major elements, has a cost of apx. 65 thousand. The mobility conversion on this specific van is considered the finest available on any minivan in the world at this time and for the past number of years.
* Deeply lowered floor, ranges from immediately in front of the rear seat, all the way to below the dash area. This "XT" model has 4 inches extra distance from floor to ceiling and interior headroom than the standard model. 4 inches extra height in a wheelchair van, especially in a minivan, is a HUGE benefit! WOW! This van has 57 inches of entry clearance and apx 59-61 inches (depending on where wheelchair is parked) of interior headroom! This is the van some folks MUST HAVE, if they need extra height, due to a tall wheelchair and/or tall wheelchair occupant. And even if its a not a "must" for you, it makes life easier for the person in the wheelchair and everyone else navigating the interior of the van.
* Nifty fold down footrest for each of the 3 rear passengers
* Both front seats are removable in a couple of minutes, if a user wants to park a wheelchair in either front location.
* Power operated bi-fold ramp stows securely inside doorway when not in use
* "Kneeling" suspension allows the van to become lower to the ground, which makes the ramp angle very gentle. The ramp angle on this van is so gentle it's very comfortable and easy to go in and out in the wheelchair. This is a feature found only on the special "XT" model.
* You control operation of the ramp, doors, and kneeling suspension with simple one-button operation, in multiple locations.
* Wireless remote operation of both slider doors and ramp and kneeling suspension

Ownership
Has always been in "dry" places, meaning, places with no rust issues, such as southern California and here in the Rogue Valley.
Certified
This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.
For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here.
Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS
Here are the new and recent items:
New: Trans service; oil/lube/filter; door locks repair; mobility systems service; exhaust gaskets
Recent: Throttle body clean; front brakes; rear brakes; oil pan gaskets; all tires;
Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $2,000

Summary of this Gem
This van has average, typical miles, rather than low or very low miles per year, as most of our vans have. These vans do tend to be retired from government and taxi use (much harder use than this van which has had all personal use) with around 200-300 thousand miles and so this van can be expected to have a very long, quality life ahead. Due to having had mostly highway commuter use and now having been rejuvenated, this runs, drives and operates as good as most of these with half as many miles. These Caravan wheelchair vans are rare to find with the loaded SXT features and even more rare with the special "XT" features from Braun.
