1999 Ford Windstar with complete lowered floor mobility conversion by Ricon (my favorite)
MILES 91,000 (Will be sold in certified condition, with 12 month/12,000 miles warranty)

General Description
This metallic tan colored van is a well-equipped LX model that has a nice level of standard and optional features, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; alloy wheels; rear ventilation; power rear vents; etc

Very positive note: this represents the first year a major new generation of Windstar, which remained through 2003. This generation has many appearance and functional improvements, compared to prior years, including having a sliding door on the drivers side.

Mobility Features
This was converted when new by the major national convertor named Vantage, which is also referred to as these names...VMI/Vantage Mobility industries/Ricon. They are a decades-old company that takes new vans and substantially modifies them, making them very functional and versatile. Here are the primary features of the conversion:

* Deeply lowered floor (apx 15 inches) beginning in front of the rear seat and extending all the way to below the dash area. This creates suitable entry clearance and interior headroom for most folks in wheelchairs or scooters to be comfortable and safe. This also makes it easier to move-about inside the van for able-bodied folks.

* Both front seat assemblies are easily removable, allowing parking a wheelchair in either front location, if desired

* Power ramp that extends from the passenger side sliding door. It folds into two parts and parks inside the door area when not in use.

* Power opening passenger side sliding door, which works in conjunction with the power ramp.

* Has kneeling suspension, which causes the rear of the van to temporarily become several inches lower than without this feature. This causes the ramp angle to be more gentle for loading and unloading

* Many locations throughout the van for securing wheelchair to the floor, via anchor straps

Status

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
